Abu Dhabi rents stable in Q4 as delays limit supply
Of the new homes, 18,800 are apartments and 5,950 are villas, the report said adding that about 12,000 units are expected for completion in the first half of the year. New deliveries in 2012 include the first residences on Saadiyat Island, as well as additional projects on Reem Island and Raha Beach.
Gardens Plaza opens on June 4
Gardens Plaza, a new shopping and community centre in Al Raha Gardens, has been completed by Aldar Properties and will open to customers on June 4. The latest addition to Aldar’s growing retail portfolio, Gardens Plaza will offer a range of retail and leisure opportunities to residents of Al Raha Gardens and surrounding communities in Khalifa City and Al Raha Beach.
Aldar rules out government aid
Abu Dhabi’s biggest developer Aldar Properties does not need financial support from the government of Abu Dhabi, a top official said. “We are in a stable condition, I don’t think there will be a need,” Chief Executive Officer Sami Asad told reporters
Aldar Properties back into black
Aldar Properties PJSC, Abu Dhabi biggest real-estate developer by market value, reported a profit after five quarterly losses, as it delivered more completed homes to buyers. First-quarter net income was Dh189.1 million ($51.5 million)
Aldar HQ completion to double office space
HQ is the first of many other planned developments at Al Dana, the Central Business District of Al Raha Beach. A key part of the Abu Dhabi 2030 Plan, Al Raha Beach is perfectly located for accessing the traditional Central Business District on Island as well as future locations such as the Capital District, the release claimed. Aldar is offering a range of integrated tenant services and there will be a comprehensive range of facilities that include a gym, numerous food and beverage outlets, convenience stores and restaurants, the company said.
